The organization focuses on improving the standard of living of Devangar families, particularly through welfare schemes for education, healthcare, and employment.

The Sangam has been deeply invested in promoting education among Devangar youth, recognizing that access to education is key to social mobility. Scholarships, mentorship programs, and financial assistance have been critical aspects of this mission.

The Sangam plays an important role in preserving the cultural traditions, festivals, and historical values of the Devangar community. Special efforts are made to pass down the community’s unique customs and language to future generations.

While originally known for their weaving skills, many Devangars have diversified into other trades and professions. The Sangam works to provide networking opportunities, job placements, and entrepreneurial support to community members seeking to establish themselves in various fields.

As a key organization for Telugu-speaking Devangars, the Samooga Nala Sangam strives to promote unity within the community, encouraging collaboration and cohesion among members from different regions.
